The book is organized in two sections, the first illustrating nineteen designs submitted over recent years to various German competitions in Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne and Dusseldorf. The second covers twenty-one projects created over the same period, complete with technical dossier and notes on fixtures and furnishings. The volume ends with a chronology of the complete works. Ungers's work in the 1990s confirms the originality of the subtly subversive designs which have earned the architect international recognition.
